Britney’s sister shows off baby

Weeks after giving birth to daughter Maddie, Jamie Lynn Spears is showing off the newborn, sharing memories of a “perfect” delivery and longing to be a Southern soccer mom.

The 17-year-old younger sister of pop singer Britney Spears poses with her baby on the cover of OK! magazine.

The exclusive was expected, given the fact that Spears announced her pregnancy through an article in OK! and reportedly was to receive a large sum of money for pictures of the baby.

OK! Editor Rob Shutter said: “What happened with Jamie Lynn is that the Spears family contacted OK! Magazine when Jamie Lynn was pregnant.”

He said: “This is a very delicate story and the Spears family felt as if they needed a magazine they could trust, a magazine that would be truthful and fair and that is why they chose OK! magazine as a magazine of record to sit down with and not only announce the pregnancy but also then after the birth to also sit down and shoot this beautiful little girl and her mum.”

In the interview, Jamie Lynn said she had been nervous about giving birth but had a perfect pregnancy and a perfect delivery.

The photos were taken at the pair’s Mississippi home.

The magazine did not comment on the terms of its deals with celebrities.
